Dr. Vera T. Brown, ph.D
Dr. Vera T. Brown is a dedicated Biblical counselor, educator, speaker, and advocate who has devoted her life to helping individuals and families find healing, hope, and restoration through biblical principles and compassionate care. With a passion for serving others, she combines faith-based counseling with practical guidance to empower people to overcome life’s challenges and walk confidently in their God-given purpose.
Dr. Brown earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Christian Counseling, a Specialist of Arts degree in Christian Psychology, a Master of Arts degree in Domestic Violence Ministry, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Counseling from Zoe University in Jacksonville, Florida. After completing her studies, served as Dean of Students. She has also completed specialized training as a Victim Services Practitioner, Sexual Assault Advocate, Elder Advocate, and is certified in Basic Life Support (CPR). She is the author of two books, Forgiveness 3.0 and Spiritual Gifts.
Dean and Teacher’s certifications received through the Sunday School Publishing Board of NBC,USA. Served eight years as Gateway MB Association Dean and Certified Instructor and two Congress of CE Annual Sessions as Certified Instructor for FGBC.,Inc.
Throughout her ministry and professional career, Dr. Brown has been committed to supporting survivors of trauma, victims of domestic violence, families in crisis, and individuals seeking emotional and spiritual wellness. Her counseling approach integrates biblical truth, prayer, compassion, and evidence-informed practices to encourage lasting transformation.
Known for her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering faith, Dr. Brown is a trusted mentor and teacher who believes that every person has the capacity to heal, grow, and fulfill God’s purpose for their life. Whether counseling individuals, leading workshops, or speaking at churches and community events, she inspires others to embrace hope, resilience, and restoration.
She is currently serving as Director of Christian Education at FNZ Baptist Church. President of Gateway MB Association; Director of Non Profit My Link to Seniors.
